Retail ID brings Wallet passes and in-store recognition to your existing retail systems.

Trials, billing and what is included.
Can I buy the products separately?
Yes. Each stands alone. The platform runs without the apps, and Intelligence and Alerts each install and run without the platform or each other.
Do the products share billing?
No. All three products are priced in USD. Piing has a $199 platform base plus additional stores. Intelligence and Alerts each have their own plan. All three Shopify app subscriptions are approved and billed through Shopify. Cancelling one does not cancel the others.
Can we try a product before paying?
Piing and Piing: Alerts each offer a 14-day trial through Shopify. Intelligence lets you preview five customer profiles before subscribing; it does not have a time-limited trial.
Which should we start with?
Start with the outcome you need. Choose Piing for branded Wallet passes, with or without physical stores. Add in-store recognition when it fits your setup. Choose Intelligence for Shopify customer fields, or Alerts for a notification feed on your Shopify storefront. Each app stands alone.
How is annual billing calculated?
Annual rates are rounded down to whole USD, saving at least 10%. The platform base is $179 per month equivalent, billed as $2,148 yearly. Additional stores are $116 each for stores 2 to 10 and $89 each for stores 11 to 50, also billed yearly. The calculator shows your full yearly charge.
Can we start with Wallet passes only?
Yes. The $199 USD base applies even with no physical stores. Unlimited Apple and Google Wallet passes, connected balances and tiers, and Wallet messages are included. Add another recognition method later without changing the plan.
Do we need a loyalty app?
No. Shopify store credit, customer tags or segments can power the pass and membership status. If you already use a supported loyalty app, Piing reads the configured values from it.
Do we need Shopify?
No. Shopify is the native route. Retail ID brings recognition, kiosks and Wallet passes to non-Shopify and bespoke stacks.
Do we need Apple certificates?
No. Piing issues and signs passes with its Apple and Google credentials. Brands that need passes under their own accounts can bring them.
Where does customer data live?
Your commerce platform remains the primary customer record. Piing stores the operational records needed for check-ins, passes, devices, integrations and attribution. It does not process payment card details or use biometrics.
