Billing for Retail ID
How direct billing works for a non-Shopify or bespoke Retail ID implementation.
Retail ID is contracted directly rather than billed through the Shopify App Store. Your agreement confirms the subscription, invoicing and payment arrangements.
What the quote covers
The Retail ID quote can include:
- the number of stores and planned rollout stages;
- recognition routes and Piing hardware;
- Wallet pass configuration and live values;
- commerce and identity resolution;
- loyalty, CRM, wishlist and webhook routes;
- implementation, testing, support and any response commitments.
The standard Piing per-store bands provide a reference, but another commerce platform or a bespoke integration can require a scoped quote.
Direct billing
The authorised billing contact receives the invoice or payment instructions agreed for the account. Piing keeps the merchant account and billing records needed to provide and support the service, but does not process payment card details.
Contact the Piing team for invoices, payment-method changes, renewal information or cancellation. Any self-service billing controls available to your account are provided with its billing instructions.
Changes
Adding stores, hardware or implementation scope can change the contract and subscription. Confirm the change with the Piing team before treating a new location as billable or live.
