Connect Antavo
Show Antavo points and tier on a Piing pass, and optionally send eligible activity to your loyalty rules.
Connect Antavo to bring a member's points and tier into Piing. Customers use a Piing pass in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet; Antavo continues to manage your loyalty programme.
Balance reads and loyalty events are separate. Sending events is off for a new connection until you enable point awards.
Before you start
- Your Antavo API credential ID, API secret and account region. Ask your Antavo administrator if you do not have these.
- A test member linked to the same customer in Shopify and Antavo.
- If you want awards, Antavo rules that recognise the Piing actions you plan to enable.
Keep the secret private. Piing signs the requests for you; your team does not need to build the authentication.
Connect your programme
- In Piing, open Integrations → Loyalty platforms and choose Antavo.
- Enter the credential ID, secret and region, then save.
- Use Test connection. Saving and testing are separate steps.
- Leave awards off until you have verified a real test member's balance and tier.
The region must match your Antavo account. A successful connection test checks access, not your customer mapping or reward rules.
Put loyalty on the pass
Select loyalty points and tier in Piing's wallet designer. Save the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet designs you plan to use, then issue a Piing pass to your test member.
Piing's direct Antavo lookup tries Shopify customer ID and then email. Confirm that these identify the intended member before launch. The current pass integration reads points and tier; it does not display Antavo's complete reward catalogue.
Pass updates depend on the provider read and delivery by Apple or Google. Do not rely on an immediate screen update as proof that an event was processed.
Optional: send loyalty activity
Enable point awards in Piing and choose your triggers. Piing sends eligible events to Antavo with the action, customer reference, configured points and available visit context.
Antavo's rules decide what the event earns or triggers. An accepted event is not proof of a points award. Confirm that the action names and customer mapping match your Antavo configuration.

Piing applies eligibility and duplicate controls and includes an event reference. Confirm how your Antavo rules handle retries; do not assume that a repeated request can never earn again.
Test before launch
- With awards off, compare a test member's points and tier in Piing and Antavo.
- Issue and save their Piing pass, then complete a check-in.
- Enable one award trigger and perform an eligible test.
- In Antavo, check the customer, action, event result and resulting points balance.
- Test a repeated visit and confirm the limits before enabling more triggers.
Use Award points on check-in to review eligibility. Ask your Antavo administrator to approve the rules before using them with customers.
If something looks wrong
- Connection test fails: check the region and credential pair.
- Wrong or missing member: verify Shopify ID and email against the intended Antavo profile.
- Event accepted but no points: check the matching Antavo action and earning rule.
- No event: confirm that Piing awards and the trigger are enabled.
Contact us with the store, customer reference and test time. Do not include secrets.
