Connect Swym Wishlist Plus
Bring wishlists into the store visit and use supported stock and price changes for useful Wallet messages.
Connecting Swym Wishlist Plus brings the products a customer wants into the store visit. Piing reads their wishlist at check-in and keeps product references for relevant stock and price changes. Enabled triggers can turn those changes into useful messages on an installed Wallet pass.
What data flows
- Read at check-in. When a customer taps in, Piing fetches their Swym wishlist and keeps a reference to the products on it. Staff surfaces can show what they came in wanting, and Piing knows which restocks matter to whom.
- Back-in-stock push. When a wishlisted product returns, an enabled trigger can send a Wallet message to eligible customers. Interest can come from a check-in read or supported Swym alerts.
- Nothing is uploaded. Piing reads from Swym and keeps references, not copies of your catalogue or customer base.
Before you start
- Swym Wishlist Plus installed on your store, with API access enabled on your Swym plan.
- Your Swym API endpoint, PID and REST API key, from the Swym admin under integrations or API settings.
- Piing installed, with an enabled event, message template and Wallet channel. The customer needs an installed pass and notification settings that allow the message.
How to connect
- In Piing, go to Integrations then Swym Wishlist Plus.
- Enter the API endpoint, PID and REST API key from your Swym admin, then connect.
- Optional, for supported Swym alerts: click Generate secret, then paste the address and secret shown into Swym's alert settings. This lets Swym report eligible back-in-stock events to Piing. Without it, Piing can still read wishlists at check-in and watch your Shopify inventory.
What to expect after connecting
A customer checks in, and their wishlist adds context to the visit. A later restock can trigger a message in your brand's words, within your sending rules. Wallet and the customer's settings control how it appears; an accepted send does not prove it was seen. The Wallet messaging guide explains allowances and held messages.
If something looks wrong
- Nothing read at check-in? Confirm the customer used the same email in Swym and in your store, and that your Swym plan includes API access.
- No push on restock? Check the installed pass, enabled trigger and Wallet channel, available message allowance, and that stock really moved from zero to available. Review held or failed results in the notification hub.
- Still stuck? Contact us.
Wishlist signals also pair well with Piing: Alerts on your storefront, where back-in-stock cards reach visitors who have not installed a pass. See the integrations page for everything else Piing connects to.
